Did I make things worse by putting heat on the shoulder? I wasn't told to do ice or heat and I did heat.
I suspect you are talking of the Clavicle and Acromion and I would have just waited the few days for the Cortisone to work. If you have bursitis it can be miserable but I doubt that heat made it worse. I've never used heat or ice on joints injected by cortisone so I ultimately don't know, a doctor would.
