I've made an IVF & the doctor used to give me 20mg. of corotrope daily in-case i have antibodies which kills the fetus but unfortunately i miscarriaged;would the cortisone be a reason for that?
Hi dareen - I am so sorry this happened to you. My condolences to you on your loss. I want to ask when the last time was you had a full physical with a full thyroid panel done. There have been lots of studies done to show that low thyroid function can cause miscarriages, too. It is just a thought before doing more IVF... The thyroid needs to be optimal, not near optimal... for all other areas of the adrenals to work right. It is just a thought. My poor psychiatrist and his wife have been trying for over 20 years to get pregnant and I even told him the same thing. Check the thyroid... he says they both are okay. I suggest the baseline test shows normal when a full panel would not...
Just my input here for you to think about. I have been recommending a book called, 'THYROID POWER... 10 STEPS TO BETTER HEALTH' by Richard Shames, M.D. and his wife, Karalee Shames, R.N., PhD. They both have worked tirelessly to help people get back on track after being misdiagnosed for many years. Hypothyroidism is not a new disease but diagnosing it has just been done wrong for so many years.
I wish you well and hope I have given you something to think about.
