I also have had open heart , triple bypass surgery.
I also have CAD and have had a quadruple bypass. I have had additional stents placed as well, and have taken dicyclomine. I take it when I have problems, not on a regular basis, and it works. I have no side effects from it. I have IBS and GERD, some of which is medication driven, but I've had IBS since I was a child. Prior to the heart problems, I took dicyclomine for IBS attacks. It stops the spasms associated with IBS. But I only ever took it on as-needed basis. Ask your doctor if you need to take it daily, or if you can take it occasionally. Probably safer that way.
