I just got my prescription filled of this medicine and now I'm scared to death to start it after reading all these comments ! I can't afford to be sick to my stomach all the time ! I had taken Adaptec now I'm wondering if I should just stick to that ? I'm 12 weeks post op of having knee replacement and still have to have pain meds sometimes now what is that going to do to me ? Why can't they make something with all these awful side affects especially when it cost so much and insurance won't cover it .So frustrating ...
It is your decision as to whether you made a good choice. The 2 medications that are in Contrave have been around for a long time. If you read the literature and studies you wills see that most of the folks with the worse of the side effects had other issues. If you take narcotics to control your pain, you should not use Contrave. It blocks narcotics. If you use another type of medication to control you pain then you can use Contrave. Did you let the doctor who prescribed this know about all the medications you already take?
