... I did just read a review where someone said their mom had a seizure that was caused by this medication!! And it's really freaking me out! Does anyone know how common they are?? Or has anyone had one? Any information will help, thanks
I am not sure where you read this review, but according to the National Institute of Health database, the only reported seizure from Contrave was during the drug trials, and that person was already prone to seizures.
Bupropion (Wellbutrin), one of the medications in the compound is known to lower the seizure threshold if taken improperly (usually too high a dosage), so *if you are prone to seizures* this is a possible concern. If not, then you are far more likely to have one of the less known or worried about side effects.
They are writing as of this time an estimated 14,000 scripts a week of Contrave, with one reported seizure... one.. so how common are they? Not common at all.
