Boycott Rush Limbaugh's (sp) sponsors, and boycott Rush himself, he has the b@lls to judge a young woman, yet that guy was on the streets buying Oxycontin!!
Should contraception be paid for by all insurance companies?
Added 2 Mar 2012:
I do wonder if his insurance covered his rehab stay when he was addicted to OxyContin?
Anyone want to chime in on this?
Added 3 Mar 2012:
I am NOT slamming anyone that became addicted to Oxy, I'm just curious if his insurance paid for Suboxone and/or Rehab. No judgement to anyone that is on opiate pain meds!!!

Maybe Rush could raise, clothe, feed, love and nurture all the babies born because women didn't get birth control?
Yes, she does have a strong point! I can't stand that bigoted sob! Sorry Republicans, & Limbaugh lovers! He wants to watch movies of women having sex on birth control??? What is in that you knows mind? He doesn't support birth control of any sort, yet if you take it he wants to watch you in the bedroom??? come on now, anyone with 1/2 a brain is smarter than this... Mary
my 2 cents... we pay taxes. Some of that money goes to welfare to support all the single moms with tons of children & to medicaid which provides insurance to those children. if the govt/insurance covered birth control, maybe we wouldn't be spending so much on welfare & medicaid... and that money could in turn be used to support other things like education or veteran affairs. I very strongly believe insurance should cover all medical conditions, whether they are natural (cancer, hypertension, diabetes) or by choice (birth control, acne). If birth control isn't covered then i believe we should stop paying for other conditions caused by choice such as diabetes & hypertension caused by obesity. just my personal opinion...
My biggest fear, is that this presidential election is slowly chipping away at the Constitution of the United States, one of the greatest documents ever written. People love to say that this great piece of work was based on Christian/Judea concepts. NOT TRUE. Fact is that Jefferson, the main writer of the constitution was a Unitarian, and the other writer, Ben Franklin was a Quaker. The reason they made the FIRST AMENDMENT separation of church and state was because they came to the new land to GET AWAY FROM RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION!! I wish that these idiots that spout their mouths off would READ their history!! Nothing scares me more than to have a fully conservative supreme court to further chip away at our rights. Now it is prayer in schools, but keep going, and it is go to the acceptable 'church".
Just TODAY in Florida, the stupid legislature passed an amendment to allow prayer in the public schools!! Our illustrious governor, (biggest crook to steal from Medicare in the history of medicare), said "well I believe in Jesus Christ, so this is the right thing to do". He is a tea-partier. Well, if we are to allow prayer in school, then I wonder what they would do if a Muslim child were to ask everyone to get down on their prayer mats and pray to allah. That is the same thing for a Jewish child to have to pray to Jesus Christ.
Please, my religious friends, do NOT take this personally. I respect your opinion, but I feel very strongly that religion does not belong in the government, nor does the government belong in our bedrooms... which goes to the question of birth control. If the law says that birth control is part of an insurance company's responsibility, don't hide behind religion to say that it is interfering with rights of religion. They are just trying to get out of paying for another drug, and "putting an aspirin between a woman's legs" for birth control is an insult and degradation to women all over the world. We might as well go back to the dark ages. If it weren't for contraception I would be dead. I had eclampsia twice, and the second time I seizured so much, that I spent the last three months in the hospital before my baby was born. Birth control has more meaning than just sex, as they are trying to reduce that medication. Should condoms also be illegal?? What about the Viagra?
This just plain scares me to death!!
PLEASE, again, my friends, take no offense at my opinions. But this is the truth about the constitution, and why America is soooo great.
Excellent question, Lara!!
I'll add this. No and no. I'm not going to have my insurance rates raised to pay for another person having sex. You want to have birth control. Pay for it. You get preganant because you can't "afford" birth control, but still have sex, pay for your own babies birth. Don't throw it on the taxpayer to deliver your baby and pay for the prenatal care. You can't afford to take a pill or have him wear a condom, cut back on oh on your cell phone use for example. You want, you need, no problem, you pay. I subscribe to Rush Limbaugh news letter, as well as his website, which I pay for, out of my pocket. I've used his sponsers. A1 service. Not running to an insurance company or the government funded by the taxpayor asking so I can be a member of his site. My cousin actually enjoyed a round of golf with him. He was and is a true gentleman according to my cousin. Have a great weekend!!!
I has been almost a month of moons that we have communicated. I hope this post finds you and your family well. This latest assult on american women is business as ususual and another issues that border on the non believable side but Rush Limbaugh is a bigot at best so his input only makes sense outside of the "real world".
My sister has been providing health care and other services to many villages in Africa out of her own pocket for many years now. She does it out of a deed to help others no so foruntete as her,
Please get back to me as soon as covientient.
I think it's important for people to pay special attention to Mary's posting above where she talks about the Senate having narrowly voted down the bill that would have allowed employers to deny women coverage for birth control and any "objectionable" medical service, possibly even flu shots. It was overwhelmingly Republicans who wanted this amendment.
If you believe in health insurance, you need to pay attention to your votes in November. See her further quote below.
Republican "Senators Roy Blunt and Marco Rubio's amendment would have allowed any employer -- not religious institutions, because they are already exempt -- to make this call on behalf of their female employees. That means a woman's boss at a restaurant, retail store, law firm or anywhere would have control over what health care she could receive. After an hour during which he was on the record opposed to it, Mitt Romney said, in typical flip flop fashion, "Of course I support that amendment." Of course he does. And we can thank him for paving the way -- he also said he would have supported a "personhood" amendment in Massachusetts, which could have banned abortion in any circumstance, some contraception, and even fertility treatments like IVF."
And most Republicans are firmly against "ObamaCare" which will finally deny the current health insurance industry's exclusion of all pre-existing illnesses which means that anyone who gets too sick to work and keep their health insurance cannot get ANY insurance. I know this for a fact.
Pardon me for being old fashioned but what ever happened to waiting to have a intimate relationship until after your married? I don't think it should be pushed off onto the tax payers to pay for others to be able to carry on anyway they see fit. Sorry if that ruffles someone's feathers but if the shoe fits!!!
