I have been taking the birth control pill continuously for a while (around 4 months). I missed one pill 2 weeks ago by 24 hours and have had 2 weeks of breakthrough bleeding. I missed another pill 2 weeks later by 24 hours. Two days after this missed pill, I decided to take a break from the active pills for one week. I am wondering if I am protected during and following this break.
Hi Colleen, no you are not. You have to use another form of birth control. With the break in this, when you start them back up, you will have to wait a full 7 days before you are protected again from pregnancy, so with it for that 7 days you will need a backup form of birth control. Hope this helps, take care, Trkey
