I have been taking Humira for nearly year and it helps a lot, now I can no longer get it for five dollars as my ins will no longer help pay. Now they want to charge me 1,950 a month so I filled out Pharmacy Assistance papers only to be told I don't qualify which is ridiculous. I don't know anyone who can afford that much for one med. I'm already on 9 other meds for other medical problems as well as methotrexate, I had to stop Plaquinil as it was too high. My RA will now progress until I can no longer work. Great job Humira.
How can I continue to get my Humira?

I completely understand where you are coming from. I take 14 meds and Humira is one of them. I get the Humira thru the Patient Assistance Program. If you have applied for this and have been turned down, you can appeal. In additional to the new application, send them a list of all your meds, with your out of pocket cost for each, plus the amount of regular monthly bills. If you can show them your income, along with proof of out go each month, they can see you simply cannot afford it. I would write a letter explaining your bills, and point out the cost of the Humira. I have a cousin who did this and their denial was overturned. Now she gets the Humira for free. It may take some leg work on your part, but definitely worth the effort. Best of luck, ChelleKay
