Is the Contin in MS Contin the same Contin as in oxycontin?

Contin means Continuous Release. Oxy is Oxycodone while MS is Morphine Sulfate. Two different medicines. Hope this helps!

Yes Meggie is correct.
The MS is Morphine.
The Oxy is a semi-synthetic opioid.

Kelly as always my great Lady friends are right on, If you have both of these DO NOT TAKE THEM AT THE SAME TIME. they are both in the opiate family and different enough to really get you in some trouble just in case this is what happened to you many Insurance companies have stopped Paying for the oxy-c and doctors have changed many to MS-c once the doctor has you adjusted right there really is no problem. never try this on your own because the active ingredients are not the same.
