Does the consumer have a right to know the manufacturer of a drug, not just the distributor?

If you go to the info on the drug it tells you the distributors and manufacturers. You have to look it up in the pill id, then click on the button under the pill for more details. Most pharmacies have the name of the company on the label of the bottle.
Sure, it should be listed on your Rx bottle. It may be in very small print but it should be there. You can also find the manufacturer by entering the identifying marks on the tablet itself into the Pill Indentifier section of this website.
