I had an episode about 25 years ago with severe racing heart and alternate body tremors. While at the emergency room they gave me some kind of injection and some meds and right after that the ringing started which I never had before. Doctors just tell me it's a coinsidence but I don't believe it. I just wonder if taking Xanax would help at this point? Thank you
Xanax might help calm you to the point where the ringing doesn't bother you, but it probably won't "cure" it. The doctors obviously don't know what is causing the ringing in your ears... I'd consult a Neurologist since they specialize in brain-related symptoms. Perhaps a CT or MRI would help them diagnose the problem and treat it.
