I am 30 male and have been getting hot flashes and extreme fatigue for about 15 years. I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, and having been using a cpap but it has not been helping me. any suggestions?
Eve might be right. My hubby has low testosterone levels, and he has to take testosterone gel daily. The doctors just kept telling him that he was depressed, but he wasn't. It got to the point that he could not get out of bed, and it was a whim that his doc tested him. You might want to ask your doc for that blood test.
I also have apnea, and use a bipap. My other suggestion is that you talk to your respiratory therapist, and have them unload your card attached to your machine to see how you are sleeping at night. Oftentimes we need adjustments to our pressures.
Good luck, and please let me know how everything turns out!!
You might check your O2 levels. It turned out that was my problem. They had decided it was fibromyalgia but then in the hospital for unrelated problem the nurses kept coming in and putting oxygen on me because my O2 was getting in low 70s when I sleep. Turns out that after three days the sweating stopped and felt better in general.
