Me and my boyfriend had sex on jan 3rd at 8 am and the condom broke. The next day i woke up and i started bleeding. I went to the pharmacy to take plan b 26 hours after the condom broke. It is now jan 11th. I've been bleeding for 8 days now and its not slowing down. I know you bleed after plan b. But i was bleeding before i took it.. i dont know what it could be. My period wasnt due for an other week.
If your period is always on time, & never early or late, &you never bleed irregularly, then you need to get checked out by a doctor, to find out if there's something causing the irregular bleeding.
If you'd gone & got Plan B as soon as the unprotected sex occurred, then you'd have had around a 90% chance of preventing pregnant. As you waited more than 24 hours, that will have decreased little, so there is slightly more chance of pregnancy.
Your next actual period might be a little late, due to the hormones in Plan B, & it could also cause you to experience hormonal symptoms in the next week or two, such as those experienced with a period or pregnancy.
It's worth reading up on correct condom use, to see if you can prevent them breaking.
