Son at 6 30amfirst class at 8am teacher says he is not focused how he was a month ago and she calls him back to task during class and his work is not was it was. Could it be the drug is not strong enough suddenly or what?
Since my son has been on Meds for Adhd I have appointments with his Pediatrician every 6 months or so. Now my son is 14 and weights about 130 lbs. he is on Concerta 54mg. He has been on Concerta about 2 years now and always went to the increase of 54mg. Just call your doctor to see if you can have an appointment because your son might need his weight and height checked for an increase. My son did go up as he grew.
Definitely sounds like an increase is needed. When I was a kid, they would have to increase my dosages now and then because my body became attuned to the dosage, so it would no longer work. It's not only when someone gains weight and grows, it mostly has to do with the body becoming used to one dosage, so it stops working. I haven't taken mine in a while, so I will actually be on a lower dose than I was as a kid.
