Compatibility of administering the medications together and not causing a problem with the clotting times of the coumadin?
Macrodantin is one of the few antibiotics that will not affect how your Coumadin works. The presence of an infection such as a UTI, however, can alter how your Coumadin is being metabolized and therefore may require you to have your INR checked. This is especially true if you have a fever or have blood in the urine (hematuria). Hope this helps!
