As you know it should have been removed in the 37th week of the pregnancy 5 or 6 years ago. One of the potential risks for just a 13 week placement is cervical infection, so it is possible. I suspect you just have a horrid case of bacterial vaginosis that will require antibiotics to fix and you should have the cervical cerclage removed which, depending on the type of cerclage performed, one can be removed in a doctors office while the two other require a surgical procedure under anaesthetic. You have to see an OBGyn preferably, as soon as is possible.
