There are many to choose from. You and your Dr will know the best treatment for pain. All the medications can be given in different ways, like pill form to swallow, pump, patch, IV, and if you are not able to take pills then some meds can be administered through the rectom. Here is a list of medications for pain control:
Morphine (the most commonly used opioid for cancer pain).
Hydromorphone, Oxycodone, Oxymorphone, Methadone, Fentanyl, Meperidine Tapentadol and Tramadol.
