I have already had a 6 day course of spyromycine metronidazole zydus which has not cleared the infection. The dentist suggests Amoxacillin but I already have a prescription for Cloxacillin for another infection I have on my finger.
Can I take Cloxacillin instead of Amoxicillin for my tooth infection?
Added 6 Jul 2015:
Just to clarify, I have not started the cloxacillin as yet, because I was waiting to finish the spyromycine (6 days), which I completed the course today. I was wondering whether I could take the cloxacillin instead of the amoxacillin ( as I have the prescription for the cloxacillin already) otherwise I will have to get yet another prescription for the amox...etc. Thanks in advance.
