Tomorrow my Dr. expects me to take a urine test. Will the clonazepam still show up in my ststem?
It depends on what kind of test your doctor is doing. Most do not test specifically for each drug, specifically for clonazepam. If you do some online research you'll see that many people taking this medication do not have it show up on a screen that tests for benzos, including myself. I take a weekly EMIT (enzyme multiplied immunoassay test) that tests for 11 categories/drugs including "benzo." It is sent to a lab. I have been taking clonazepam daily for two months now and have passed every single test, with benzos coming up negative. This is because clonazepam produces a different metabolite than most other benzos like diazepam, lorazepam, alprazolam, etc. It's an interesting thing, but some people to test positive, it all depends on the test.
Like pledge said, if it's just testing for the benzodiazepine category, you'll be positive due to the valium and he wouldn't be able to tell.
