Went to the pharmacy to renew my script for Clarinex-D 24 hour, and was told it was discontinued and I could get the Clarinex-D-12 hour (60 tablets for the same time coverage as the 30 tablets of the 24-hour version).
Guess what? The Price is not the same. In fact, it's a 60% increase over the Same Drug...
What a rip off. As far as I can find the manufacturer hasn't discontinued it, the pharmacy may have stopped carrying it. And no wonder if you would have to pay that much more. I'd find another pharmacy.
My company perscription plan provider has had this on back-order for 3 weeks now. So I asked my physician to write a prescription for a 30 day supply at a local pharmacy - they just called me back and also said it was discontinued. What's up???
This product has officially been discontinued by Merck. They are only manufacturing the 12 hour version now.
The same thing happened to my co-worker. I got my prescription refilled last Saturday. Then she went on Monday and they told her the same thing. We couldn't believe it.
