... anything with sodium nitrate or citric acid I break out in pimples and feel muscle pain and swollen glands. Could I not have Ms, just an allergic reaction? Does anyone else have a similiar situation?
If your MS was diagnosed after a bone marrow biopsy then they can be certain of the diagnosis. There are frequently foods than can trigger a person's condition and should be avoided. It may be your body needed time to rid itself from the negative effects of certain food ingredients and that when you ate them again it was more sensitive. It doesn't indicate a misdiagnosis of MS, but you should certainly continue to avoid these in the future.
My girlfriend can't have anything with citric acid anything in that family. Due to meds she's on. I'm not a doctor. But I don't think the allergic reactions have anything to do with weather or not you have M.S. Talk to your doc or pharmacist about any meds your taking and the reactions from citric acid
