My doctor is switiching me from Cymbalta to Celexa due to high cost of Cymbalta. Even the generic Cymbalta costs me $377.00 a month.
For how many does it cost that much? The generic isn't out yet is yet? The cost of cymbalta is that for 60. Effexor is closer to cymbalta. Celexa is a ssri, and cymbalta is a ssnri. They are both good tho.
Cymbalta is a SSNRI - Selective Serotonin–Norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor whereas Celexa is a SSRI -Selective Serotonin reuptake inhibitor but they work similar and are used the same
I believe Cymbalta is now a generic..as previously mentioned... it affects the reuptake of norepinephrine as well as serontonin
