I'm only on 10mg and have been on it for 6 weeks and have gained about ten pounds and have at least 4 headaches bordering on migraines a week.
Citalopram - Does anyone get headaches while taking celexa?

Hi What summer-
Usually the side effects get less by the 4th week. You can talk to your doctor about maybe going to a lower dose to see if it helps the headaches. You should not have to suffer. This may not be the med for you. You can also ask about Lexapro which is the sister drug of Celexa and may not give you headaches.
It is trial and error with finding what works.
