Just do the best you can to clean and dry the area so it is not covered with crust, then apply the drops. If the area is very crusty you can irrigate the ear a bit with some warm water then allow the water to drain out and dry the canal best you can with a towel. Dont try to put q-tips or anything else in the ear canal-just the drops.

Dr has percribed Ciprodex Otic for my ear infection... The cost is $140. Is there a equivalent that?
