Hi, I'm new to this group and I suffer from Chronic pancreatitis, which I've learned could be life threatening. I need to connect with someone who has had Islet cell transplant surgery. It is very scary and I don't know anyone who had it. I understand that it is major surgery.
It's been a while since you have posted... but I'll still try.
I have minimal change (aka small duct) chronic pancreatitis. The best option for me is the tp with ait. I live in the u.k. and they work a little slower over here... maybe get it by next year. I have read a lot about it and long to have the operation as I can not carry on living the way I am... pain... tiredness. ..bloating... nausea... need I go on? Lol. Anyway I'm here if you need me, take care Deb x
