I feel like my doctor is leaving me in limbo and in the mean time my husband lost his job and I still feel like I'm in limbo. Doctor won't prescribe pain meds that will work for the pain. What can I do?
When you say that the doctor won't prescribe pain meds that will work for the pain, does that mean that the doctor has already prescribed some pain med that has not worked for you? And yes, I agree with Kaismama, that we really need more information about the cause of your pain, how bad is it and how long have you suffered from it? Have you ever been treated with any medications for it previously? Kaismama is right that a pain management doctor is your best bet to be prescribed pain killers, but sometimes there are some of them that aren't responsive. What exactly did your doctor tell you? Many of them are cowed by the DEA about prescribing pain killers which upsets many of us. We wish you the best to get pain relief. Sara
Try considering pain management physician, meditation accupuncture, chiropractor or other things never considered &/or attempted in the past. Especially if pain is in the neck &/or spine & lower back before going under the knife & taking chance of greater pain & damage & potential paralysis
