... diagnosed for over 12 years and this was a first. It started with a cough and I knew to go see urgent care before a real problem started. They started me on Zpac and 2 days later could not catch a breath or hardly move. After Zpac treatment still no better, different Dr started Cortisone and inhaler, still no help went back a 3rd time and Dr started Levaquin, nasal inhaler, Mucinex, claritan. Anyway am breathing better now, but still have doubts, for next time. Any help
Have COPD also. Had 6 pack n inhalers etc. Changed inhaler from xophenex to altrovent and nebulizer every 6 hours using ipatropium. It helped. Also can,t sleep on a flat bed. Put wedges under my mattress so on incline. Used to sleep in recliner before that. You spitting up stuff when u cough still. Has your white blood cell count been checked? It should if spitting up stuff. Can u sleep on flat bed?
