has anyone had facial rash due to sprycel? what was the treatment without stopping the med?
I have only been on Sprycel for 4 weeks now, but I do see changes in my skin. Red bumps are starting to show up on my face. I have been trying new facial cleansers now to see what works the best.
I have had a rash on my chest from the first week of taking Sprycil. The color is bright red and splotchy and I have 4 larger spots that start out as blisters and never seem to go away.
The rash and bumps don't itch or hurt so I just leave them alone.
Hello and yes! The itching, burning and red bumps started to appear on my face after about a couple of months of being on Sprycel. I’ve been on it now for 3yrs and now I get them periodically on the back of my neck... I started using Triamcinolone cream because the itching reminded me of how my son itches with his eczema. And show and behold it worked!!! My PCP and my Oncologist still prescribes them to me til this day! They were clueless and it seemed to work with no add side effects. Good Luck...
Oddly enough I never had any itching or rashes and I've been on Sprycel for 15 mos. However recently I started having what I called dry patches on my left foot. Skin doctor thought it was blisters but honestly I just noticed peeling skin. It didn't itch certainly but the skin was sensitive and a bit reddish. They told me to put nothing on it and leave it and so far it has healed up but still don't know if it was blistered or if it is just extremely dry skin. I was on 100 mg for most of that 15 months but the last two on 50 mg. Just don't know about itchy skin but I do advise that making sure the skin is kept hydrated to help somewhat. I'm sure you already know that and you might use hydrocortisone as well if there is a rash.
