Why can't my Doctor write kolonapin for anxiety and panic attacks along with my hydrocodone for pain from fibromyalgia and degenerative disc disease.
Sechler; It has to be just your doctor. ASK the doctor what about Xanax or Lorazepam to help with when you are so wound up with all these problems. Outside of that, you may have to find a new doctor and have him or she refers you to them. Tell them you are desperate. Just because people have been abusing this medication they have made it hard for those of us that need them where we can't get them. But also the fact is the medical Board and the FDA are watching what the doctors are writing in the way to many states and countries because of all this opiate abuse. So it is really not just your doctors so he or she may want to give it to you but are scared of losing their license. See what this doctor can give you that well calm you down when you need it. good luck this is a bunch of crap. Chuck1957 P.S MY FRIEND be careful you put to much pressure and he or she well have you go to a pain clinic and they monitor you like a hock and treat you like a dog. Chuck.
I agree with you Chuck1957 the Doctor is the only person who can prescribe you the meds that you know will help you Ms Sechler. But you must press your case for you. And I know sometimes that can be the most difficult thing to do when terrible pains are running through your body. I have both those and I under went the dreaded fusion surgery in my neck cervical discectomy some days usually the ones I don't have Drs appts I sometimes just stay in bed. Yea I know I should try to be more active but darn. I take gabapentin for general muscle aches and with the oxycodone I take, I have the fentanyl patch. So when you go in to see the Doc walk in there and explain yourself as clearly as possible and if you have taken those medications before all the better because you know how they will work for you. You don't want to alienate her or argue to much but I think you know what you need to do firmly & clearly explain why you need the meds. I really wish you all the best, it really is just shameful how that we have all these medications now that can truly help people who need them but the Drs are afraid that they can't tell who needs them. Isn't that a part of their job to do that? well good luck to you and may you find the help you need. BH
