... about half of his large and small intestine and has three resections. He is suffering from ongoing diarreha. He takes one 4 g packet/ day, which seems to help a bit with the loose stools and urgency, but creates extreme gas build-up. He is afraid to take more because it is interfering with his ability to do business. Will the gas diminish with time? Is it possible to take gas-x or another gas limiter for this problem? Thank you!
Ikoshar, I too take the same medication, I also had a resection. I only can take half a pack, a whole pack was way to much. Unfortunatly the gas problem doesnt go away, but I have to say it does help with the other problems that go along with the resection. Sometimes i will even take it every other day that seems to help me also.
