I've always been aware of the need for calcium since a girl, so have always drunk milk for hopefully healthy and strong teeth and bones. However given I had a brain haemorrhage 3 yrs ago, now have thrombocytopenia and unspecified cirrhosis, was diagnosed as autoimmune hypothyroid and also have TB autoimmunity since a baby, I'm now 68 with weakening bone and muscle tissue, should I be taking such a large dose and do I need it?
