None of these will work well unless you drink a lot of water. I would almost bet that you dont drink much water or what you are using would be working. Drinking enough water allows stool softners and fiber to work by keeping water in the stool which prevents it from getting too hard and difficult to pass. Try to be sure that you are drinking about 64 oz of water a day, minimum. Juice is ok too, but water is best. Your body doesnt have to process water to use it. Tea (hot or iced) and coffee doesnt count for fluid replacement because they actually have a diuretic effect and pull more water out of your system than they replace. Keep a bottle of cold filtered or purified water near you all day and try to sip on it periodically. I find when a person is just starting to try to drink enough, putting a 64 oz pitcher of water in the fridge helps. Sip on it throughout the day and once it is gone or close to gone then you know you have gotten enough fluids for the day. You will have to urinate frequently at first but your body will adjust once it gets used to being hydrated. You will feel better all around because our bodies function much better in a hydrated state and most people walk around very dehydrated. Your skin will look better and you will feel better because all the toxins will be flushed out more thoroughly. Your bowels will function much better. I take constipating opioid medications and I rarely need stool softners or laxitives because I drink about a gallon of water a day.
Kaismama gave you a good suggestion. I know of a "sworn by" home remedy for constipation and that is a tablespoon of molasses in a teacup or mug of hot water. drink every morning and you will be regular as it gets! Try to avoid constipating foods like bananas, cheeses, rice etc. and increase your water intake and everything that you are now doing will work much, much better!
