Don't really want to spend the money for the starter pack if I can just start with the continuing pack. Just wondering if that's OK to do? I have never taken Chantix before. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Chantix is supposed to work by weening you off of the nicotine, so the starting month packs starts you off with a lower dose of 0.5 mg for a few days and increases to 1mg. Depending on how frequent of a smoker you are, it would really be wise to talk to your doctor to see if he can start you off on the proper starting month pack, which is usually covered by insurance. Plus, there are coupons available on the manufacturers website
