has any body gone from oxicontin to ms contin the new oxicontin op has plastic in them thats why i want to go to ms contin and to know how it works compared. if there is any one that has done this please let me know.
MSContin is Morphine sulfate in a continuous release form. Morphine and it's bad side effects are what led people to take Oxycontin in the first place. Now Purdue Labs is in their effort to look good in the eyes of the FDA "running off" patients, and making them go back to the harsher more addictive drug Morphine Sulfate
I made that change, I found that I was not doing well on the new oxycontin. I first tried Avinza but I required high dose to relieve my pain that left me unable to function. I was tired and funny in the head, could not think I wasn't comfortable driving or doing anything. My doctor changed me to ms contin but I know it does not work like oxycontin, I am afraid to take higher dose of ms contin because it makes me stupid and lazy. I do take 30mg of oxyir every 4 hours if it wasn't for that I don't know what I would do. I did well on oxycontin before the change now everyday is a struggle..
