What are the chances of having to use a in and out catheter?

I presume you mean a urinary catheter? None of us can predict that without having some basic information at the very least. I don't understand this "in out" business you are speaking of at all. When I have been catheterized they have always had the measuring/collecting container below bladder level to prevent flow back. I have also heard of people using catheters for up to 20 years.
