Allergic to penicillan, amoxicillan, arethromicin, and or codine? have a gall bladder infection .
If I understand your question correctly, you are having gallbaldder troubles? An antibiotic will not help this condition. Usually if you are having gallbladder attacks, they will first do a sonogram to see if you have gallstones, & then a hydra scan to see how well the gallbladder is working. If the tests are positive, removal of the gallbladder is necessary. The can now do this with arthoscopic surgery & you go home the same day. I hope this has answered your question... Mary
There is something like a 10% crossover of allergy if you are allergic to penicillin and take a cephalosporin. So your chance of reacting to it is a little higher than others, but not a huge amount. I have taken cephalosporins and am allergic to penicillin. However that does not mean you won't react to it. Caution would be advised. Mary covered the gallbladder, so I'll agree with her on that.
