Cephalexin - Is it OK to have an alcholic beverage while taking?

Alcohol won't diminish the effectiveness of Cephalexin .

However, antibiotics and alcohol can cause similar side effects, such as stomach upset, dizziness and drowsiness. When you combine antibiotics and alcohol, these side effects may increase.

So in the end the decision is yours... if you have a drink the antibiotics will work but you may possibly experience unpleasant side-effects.
