- cephalexin, dosage
I'm prescribed cephalexin 500mg every 6 hours but that interferes with my bedtime and awakenjng time so I was wondering if taking it an hour before time would be okay?
Yes you could do it, however please also speak to the doc/pharmacist who prescribed the med.
Take care, be safe & well, please.
I have had the same experience (I agree that it is wise to talk with your pharmacist) but with the experiences I have had usually an adjustment in time can be made. Be sure you finish the entire antibiotic unless you talk with your doctor.
Hi, you'll be fine. As long as you take the correct amount of tablets each day and have as close to possible time periods inbetween doses. An hour or so won't make a difference. As already stated, finish the course, even if you are feeling better
Delia is right. In the hospital, nurses can give meds an hour before and up to an hour after the time a medication is due and it is still considered as being given on time.
