my friend and neighbor was in the navy and contacted yellow fever in 1946, he claims that ever since that happened he has been suffering from nervousness since 1947.. I know its been many years since he had the fever but do you think that the treatment and condition could be related.. he is 87 years young but still suffers from a nerve problem.. Thanking you in advance,,
Well I now know why we had yellow fever vaccine when we were on alert for Nam, and got sick as a dog from them. I just read more then I ever wanted to know about yellow fever and I can't find anything that it directly effects the neurological system. If someone gets into the second stage of it they can have internal bleeding and I wonder if that and liver failure could cause a problem. But most that get into the second stage die. Just being in ww2 would be enough to effect his nerves forever. He could have PTSD.
