I am 23 years old and I've never had a problem with heartburn, a few days ago I started experiencing horrible pains in my chest. It goes away after a while but it usually happens in the morning. Every morning for the past 3 days I've had heartburn. Also, it won't go away with anything, I've tried milk, bread ect.. I'm really confused? Help?!
Try to have some malox as soon as you feel the reflux pain. Are you having coffee or tea in the mornings? It's acidic. You may need an anti reflux pill like Nexium if the malox doesn't help. Sometimes you could have an infection in your digestive area. I had it and I needed steroids for 10 days. It's been awhile so forgot the name of it. But it acts like an ulcer but it's an infection. You need a blood test to know though. Maybe someone on this forum will know the name.
Go see a doctor if possible . If not try an h2 blocker like zantac (ranitidine)150mg or pencil(famotidine) 20mg twice a day for a couple of days to see if you can control it . If not then try prilosec(omeprazole) or one of the other proton pump inhibitors (ppi) always start with the weakest and move up till you find your acid control point. I hope you find relief
