I've had a sore throat for a few days now , one that has made sleep difficult due to sharp pain whenever I attempt to swallow saliva. Upon investigation, I have found a large red lesion in the back of my throat, behind my uvula, and snaking deeper into my throat. I initially assumed my throat pain was due to the incredibly dry air I've been in, but figured I'd ask around anyway in case someone else has experience similar.
Hi, there are many reasons for why this could occur, such as a viral or bacterial infection, allergies, damage caused by acid reflux, or a minor injury which you may not have noticed at the time, which has become more aggressive. It could also be a cyst... I would advise you to visit your doctor or ENT department to get to the bottom of this
