I've had wrist pain on and off for about a year and a half now. I thought it was carpal tunnel from using a device at work... Imagine holding a cell phone in your right hand for eight hours and pushing a button on the right side with your thumb. My wrist would ache for days after a shift. I bought a wrist brace and have worm it at least eight hours a day for a year now. I used to online game and have cut back drastically to allow my wrist to heal... But it doesn't seem to be getting better. I have another job now where I don't use those devices, but I still have wrist pain. Twisting, pulling, or repetitive mouse clicking/scrolling annoy the injury but I don't have any of the numbness associated with carpal tunnel. Any ideas what it could be?
You can still have carpal tunnel even though you aren't experiencing numbness. I have carpal tunnel in both wrists and the pain is sometimes pretty intense. When my dr told me to get the wrist splints, he also told me to leave them on 24/7. Not terribly comfortable,
but after 3-4 months he let me take them off at night. They did help me with '' see ;! 5
