... to speak to some one. My 8 month old son has this metabolic condition and I have a few questions. I lost my daughter to this condition a year and a half back and am desperate to speak to those with the condition? How old are you? Are you taking l-carnitine? How much? Are you suffering from and side effects?
I wanted to know what it's like for them growing up? My 8 month old suffers from really bad reflux due to the carnitine solution, will this go away? Is there anything else they feel happens to them as a result of the carnitine solution. I wanted to know if they feel this condition affects their quality of life ! I have a metabolic doctor that looks after my son
Hey!! I would love to talk to you about this. I've been trying to find someone to talk to that's going through this as well. I have it and so do my girls, who are six and four. There's not a lot of information that people give you about this. I'm still learning what it all is and how to help my girls. How old was your daughter? I'm so sorry for your loss. I take supplements because my body started to shut down a year ago. I had no idea what was going on with me until then, My girls don't take supplements, but my four year old has been showing some increases symptoms so were taking her back in to get her blood tested to see if her count lowered more. My girls eat a lot of protein and they eat every two hours. I notice if I don't feed them every two hours they start to get really sick. The protein stays in their system longer. I still have side effects. They're not anywhere near as bad as they were before I took the supplements, but they're still present.
