Today heis aid told me to take 5mg tonight and 2.5mg tomorrow ,for three consecurive days alternating.I don´t have chest pains. My case was diagnosed as irregular heart beat since 14 yrs ago .Been taking baby aspirin all that time until ten days ago when it was increased to 325mg dose.Do i have serious heart disease or it is the lighter type?
You haven't said what condition you have that causes the arrhythmia other than irregular heart beat ~ unknown origin.
If you are taking aspirin and that is all to keep the blood from clotting then I would think you are doing pretty darn well!!! I am not sure why you are worried??? Did your doctor leave you with a question in your mind??? The next time you see this doctor please do ask specific questions. It isn't right to spend time in a doctor's office and leave upset, concerned or worried about your health. So, the next time ask your doctor how you are doing and what your prognosis is. You have a right to know...
It doesn't sound like you were ever so out of rhythm that you had to be shocked back into rhythm or needed surgery to correct a known condition. Sounds like your doctor is treating this condition as "mild" and to keep yourself active, eating well and hopefully NOT SMOKING OR DRINKING!
If you had a serious heart condition or heart disease... your doctor would have told you that and given you some kind of prognosis with a treatment plan. I think you should put your mind at rest and do the best that you can to keep yourself healthy with an active lifestyle and be thoughtful about your diet.
Peace to you and please don't worry... worry isn't good for the body, mind or spirit.
Hugs and blessings for happiness, good health and longevity... may you prosper in all that you do. Please do keep posting so that we can support you when you need it. I am no doctor and none of us here can act or answer in that capacity. You do sound like you are being well cared for and being treated appropriately and responsibly. However, if you are lacking confidence in the doctor... then it is time to see another doctor for that second opinion.
