Because the drug companies and distributor weren't getting rich enough. Many medicines including 45 yr old generics have tripled and quadrupled in price. Of course this happens when the insurance companies are paying less and less of it and charging you more too. I seriously think there needs to be a stop put to it. Only the very rich will be able to afford to live.
