It could be anything from illegal drugs to some kind of supplement. All medications in the US must have some kind of identifying marks-letters, numbers, logos, etc. Vitamins and supplemental medications like herbs and minerals dont have to have these marks because they are regulated differently. Sometimes people use plain unfilled geletin capsules to hold illegal substances in "doses" so it could be something like that as well. Best to just throw them away if you are unsure of what they are. You might try seeing if the pharmacy can identify but they will probably tell you the same thing I have.
