Candida is a yeast, and its not considered infestation but an infection. It usually starts in the mouth and goes down your throat. Your mouth would become sore and itchy and if you looked at it, you would see white patches on your tongue and the inside of your mouth that you can't scrape off. This can travel down the back of your mouth to your throat. It is quite uncomfortable and can interfere with eating.
