Zofran should help. I can't think of anything better that may help with nausea. The link below has names of other medicines which may help. Please discuss with your doctor. He/She may want to prescribe something else.
I was on Gleevec for CML for 21/2 yrs. Everytime I went into the Drs. office I lost 5 lbs. I just lost my appetite. My taste & smell changed. Things smelled really strong. I would get sick in the middle of the night. My platelets were alittle low & I ended bleeding into my stomach. The Dr. had my stomach scoped & I had a raw spot in the bottom of my stomach. So watch for coffee ground colored throw-up. That's what it looks like when you have a bleed. I took Prevecid 40mg. 2x a day for stomach acid. That worked most of the time. I ended up losing 55 lbs. Zofran takes a few minutes to work on me & I don't end up taking it until its to late & nothing can stop it (getting sick). I had to change my meds from Gleevec to Sprycel due to anemia & low platelet count. I've been off gleevec for 5 days & gained 5 lbs. Haven't started taking Sprycel yet. Kind of scared I'll get sick. You are the 1st person that I know that has the same problem with Gleevec I did! Try the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society web site community page. They have a CML or any of those diseases and alot of ?'s & answers. It has helped me. I know I didn't give you an answer, but I just had to let you know you are not alone. lls.org is the web site. You have to log on then click on community & log on there also.
