Can zanaflex be used as a seditive?

loo loo,
It's labeled use is strictly for muscle relaxation. It wouldn't be a very good choice as a sleep med because it can cause a person to talk excessively in his/her sleep, cause dizziness, and make a person extremely nervous and/or psychotic. Personally, I would ask the doctor for a sedative rather than "try" this med.

Zanaflex is a muscle relaxant, it can help you relax but it is not known to produce a real sedative effect you may want to ask for a true sedative like Valium or Lorazapam (Ativan) if you need a sedative, hope this info helps you out some, marjorie zych free discount card
