I'm trying to put together a disaster kit and I wondered how long I could store levothyroxine and if it should be put in the freezer if for extended periods.
Can you store an emergency pack of levothyroxine in the freezer?

You cannot put 99% of meds in the freezer. Most meds last about 6months-1year after filling them depending on which ones they are but do not try to freeze meds it doesn't help my friend and it could actually hurt you instead because the concentration of the drug gets messed with if not stored correctly, you are good for trying to prepare but meds are harder to prepare for talk to your pharmacist and he/she may be able to help you prepare better hope this helps you some, marjorie zych
